10k Mile updated review: I lowered from 3 star to 2. After putting 10k on these tires I was wrong on original review, but will leave that review below. After having these tires balanced multiple times thinking they were out of balance because of a bad vibration at highway speeds , I realized it was the tires themselves not the balance. After it started cooling off from peak summer I noticed cooler days they ride smooth at the same speeds that would rattle a filling out in hotter months. Old review below. I like nexen tires, but I’m not too sure about these. I originally bought a set of 4 from a shop, this tire Is a replacement. They have great traction wet or dry, under 65 ride very smooth, over 65 I’m not so sure. The tire I just replaced wouldn’t hold air, I had to put air in once a week, and no warranty where I bought them. This one won’t balance unless both shops I had balance it are incompetent,(this didn’t affect my rating because it being the shops is a strong possibility). If you use this size I strongly recommend tire pressure monitors. the last one went flat and I couldn’t tell, drove on it 80 miles at highway speed and didn’t notice. This destroyed the sidewall, but didn’t damage my wheel. in a pinch they’re basically run flat tires if you can replace it. I would buy them again, mostly because for this price point it exceeds my expectations. These tires have been great so far, dry handling and stopping is superb, while wet handling can have you sliding around just a bit more than you'd anticipate it still stops well in heavy rain. Very quiet and good fuel economy make this a perfect budget pick for UHP Summer tires. I wouldn't take them to track day, but I do daily drive these because they're comfortable and economical.Only had tires for 1 month and already bald and the car has had a alignment done on car same day they were put on and it’s my only car to get to work !!!!!These Nexen tires were just what i was looking for when i was tire shopping for my 65' Mustang. I had these mounted to the original FOMOCO 14x5 steel wheels and they look great. I am sure there are better performing tires out there but for the few times a month i drive this car and for the money ($52/tire!) I couldn't be happier!
